While producing shows, promos and previews for broadcast, I realized that the branding and marketing efforts that went on-air did not always carry through to the networks’ websites. And that for some networks the web and production departments did not communicate or work well together.



Further observation revealed that the TV people did not understand what the web people did and why it took so much time and people power to build a couple of pages.  The web people felt misunderstood and under-appreciated by the TV people.  Subsequently, two assets of entertainment and marketing communications fell out of sync with each other.

With over 15 years of solid producing experience in television, film, video and multimedia presentations, I decided it was in my clients’ best interest to have a supervising producer who can pave the way for integrated entertainment and marketing communications both on-air and online. To gain the best experience as an Interactive Marketer and Producer, I went to Interactive Advertising Bureau and IBM, two leading technology entities.  From there I went to The Black Book, a blue-chip resource of commercial photographers and illustrators, to build and manage a marketing and e-commerce website.  The Black Book developed an additional revenue stream from their site. My efforts also increased the success of their publications through on-line marketing, e-mail blasts, direct mail, and sweepstakes.

As for my broadcast success, I produced shows for Discovery, Paramount, and Turner.  My previews enjoyed high subscription success.  A special I produced for Montel Williams brought in daytime ratings of 5.2 that closed the ratings gap between Montel and Oprah.



Bring your online and on-air in sync.

Research your strengths and weaknesses of your online and on-air content.  Since I am knowledgeable in both disciplines I understand what each of the mediums are capable of doing and what it takes to do them.  Also my marketing experience will strengthen what is already strong and provide solutions for the weaknesses.

Do a competitive analysis of other networks and their websites -- and what your competition does the best you will do better.  Liaison the creative between on-air and online to be more effective in both entertainment and marketing. Streamline your operations and increase revenue streams.

Create broadcast production and online content that bring in viewers and keep them coming back for more.
